In 2013 I partnered with embedded systems engineer Robert Filipkowski in a class hackathon where we produced a rough prototype of a hand signal and motion reactive jacket for cyclists. In 2014 we decided to progress the idea as a part of my capstone Industrial Design project and VELOTECH was born. Our resulting concept and prototype went on to win the JJ Peters Innovation Challenge Grant. The video below is a demo of our protoype and the remainder of the page outlines our concept and work.
