LA SPORTIVA: SALT LAKE CITY

La Sportiva approached PORTER Design & Build to create their second retail location in North America in the indoor climbing capital of the US, Salt Lake City. The selected site is a former metal shop and garage in SLC’s blossoming Post District. The raw existing conditions posed a significant renovation plan but also offered a blank canvas for the brand.

As the design lead on the project, my role involved defining the interior space working with the architect to create a robust tenant improvement plan, designing and detailing the fixtures, layout, furnishings, and facade, and creating a Re-Soul Lab and service area where customers can have their shoes re-soled and repaired.
